Title: perseid meteors
Post by: Ivan on August 03, 2013, 11:42:16 PM
Heads up for the perseid meteors 11th-13th August.

These are my favourite meteors for various reasons- the nights are warm, making it more pleasant to stay out for a few hours watching them, they are bright and they often explode and/or leave persistent trails.

Clear skies over Perthshire.

Just looked out the old sun / moon lounger to lie on and save the neck whilst viewing. Have seen four beauties already as I sup my hot chocolate.

Blast, clear skies to total cloud cover in an hour.

It was a good show while it lasted. Dozens spotted.

We're on a hill well away from population centres so it was pretty good
