Title: my best read of 2017 - Sapiens
Post by: bar on January 02, 2018, 01:44:50 PM
my son sent me a copy of this book without much fanfare. i think he knew once i read the first chapter i would be hooked, and i was.

the book is called "Sapiens" by a Harari and is a brief history of humankind.

it charts the incredible last 150,000 years of the 2 million years humans in one form on another have wandered the planet focusing on the impact of cognitive skills to stimulate development, through communication, agriculture and science.

Thanks Bar.  I'll add this to my book list and go hunting for a copy.
