LOL, so our government allows fracking, but imposes limits on it so strict that it can't take place.

IMO our government were stupid in allowing/encouraging fracking to take place at all.  Gas, like coal, would still be there, should it be needed far in the future. But right now we need green renewable forms of energy generation, not additional fossil fuel pollutants.

I think you're being a bit negative mate. Just because it's turning into a giant Ponzi scheme in the US, losing $100bn's, and as a result of fugitive methane emissions is working out worse than coal (in CO2e terms), that doesn't mean we can't give it a go ....... what's the worst that can happen?  :o
