Title: Sono Sion now available to order Post by: dan_b on January 14, 2021, 09:59:35 AM https://sonomotors.com/en/sion/
I must admit I thought this was vaporware, but it seems you can now order the solar panel-endowed Sono Sion for delivery in 2022. Title: Re: Sono Sion now available to order Post by: nowty on January 14, 2021, 10:59:02 AM Interesting as it also has bi-directional charging.

Interesting to see how it performs on general release - could be very interesting for low day to day mileage users. Title: Re: Sono Sion now available to order Post by: marshman on January 14, 2021, 12:43:47 PM Any colour as long as it is black ? ;D
Title: Re: Sono Sion now available to order Post by: dan_b on January 14, 2021, 12:48:20 PM Still looks to me like the offspring of a coming together between the Audi A2 and the BMW i3, but I guess ultimately it's a small 2 box 5 door hatchback and there's not much you can really do otherwise design-wise.
By next year, will €25000 be a competitive price I wonder? 250km range, is that realistic from a 34kWh battery? Title: Re: Sono Sion now available to order Post by: renewablejohn on January 14, 2021, 01:14:27 PM Getting a bit sceptical now. Have been watching development for over 2 years now with original promise that cars would be rolling off the production line in 2021 now pushed back to 2022.

I must admit that I had to smile when I saw the subject of your email. We do not hate you neither. Actually, all the british people I met in my life were pretty friendly and funny persons. In the first production cycle we will not produce a right-hand drive version of the Sion. We hope to possibly also offer a right-hand drive model in the future. As we are still working hard to get the Sion on the streets of the left-hand driven countries of Europe, it is difficult to tell you a timescale. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again. With kind regards from Munich..... Await further updates |
