My Asus EEE is now (in computer terms) not in the first flush of youth, being over 2 years old - overall it's served me well, and has proved remarkably robust (even the battery pack still works), but the other day, point-blank refused to play Youtube videos, demanding an "up to date browser" - despite innumerabubble attempts, Xandros really didn't want to know about updates or new browsers, and the two tv players wanted a new version of Flash (similar unsuccessful wrestle with Xandros), so not being an uber-geek, decided on another approach........
Puppy linux now do versions specifically for Asus eees - and using their destructions, downloaded it onto my main computer, loaded it onto a 4gb SD card, and shoved it into the netbook from which it is now running - rock and roll!

Highly recommended - I now have streaming media off the net - Youtube, iplayer and itv player are all working, and a new operating system to play with - it's running really fast in comparison to Xandros, which is still there undisturbed should I wish to revert - highly recommended!
