Cool.

Surprised by how many installs there have been in my postcode (DT3) and other Dorchester (DT) ones.  A lot more than I'd have thought.

I'm #16 - anyone else on the forum #1 to #15?

Would love to as the demographics would be interesting. There isn't enough granularity to make any conclusions apart something simple like north v south.

You may be (slightly) heartened to know that in the postcode range IV40 to IV59 the distribution is:
Wind 5
Hydro 3
PV 3

I've made a trial start on a FiTs/google map.

Only Aberdeen postcodes so far.  Icons should be self explanatory.

Here are some maps showing the distribution of the different technologies.
I only counted each post code once, so i could reduce the 16,500 PV down to 2,137. Unfortunately i could only plot 1000 on each map so PV is on 3 maps.

2nd,

It appears that the software you are uising is putting some of the postcodes into other countries.  E.g. CT15 in Conneticut, USA.

Yes, i saw that. it appears to be a glitch with single letter post codes but as there were so many in the data list i thought the odd one that didnt fit wasnt too bad with free software. each postcode took 4 seconds to convert and there were initially 16,500 PV so i had to shorten the list a little.
I got the PV down to just over 2,000 post code areas like CM12.

If anyone has software and time to do this and count the number of installations in a post code then the data would be more meaning full.

I did notice that the National Parks are basically devoid of installations !!
