The one below is in the Snowdonia National Park and just before Xmas I saw what looked like at 4 kWp PV system installed within this post code.

Ted, My sister's installation is listed with an application date of 16/8/10 and a commissioning date of 14/3/10. My understanding is that the 25years FITs runs from the commissioning date, not the application date - is this right? She has already been told (contrary to initial advise from SWALEC) that she loses her entitlement to FITs from 1April 2010 - 16/8/10 because that's the first day she'd told SWALEC in writing that they would be her FITs agent. I'd assumed that she'd simply get 25 years entitlement from 16/8/10 onwards, but now I'm worrying that she'll only get 24years and 7.5months FIT payments.

Ivan, does your sister have a written FITs Agreement from Swalec yet? That should show the Eligibility Date and Eligibility Period.  Can't see why the period would be less than 25 years.

As Ted says, the written agreement is probably the first thing to check?

Our SSE agreement has a "Confirmation date" (early December for us) an "Eligibility date" (end of August for us) and an "Eligibility period" (25 years for us, as it's also PV). 25 years from the eligibility date would seem logical?

Our "Eligibility date" is the same as the commissioning date, but that is also the same as the application date. I called SSE on the day of commissioning to start the registration process. As I'd yet to received proof of ownership, etc., they suggested I send them an email straight away stating my request that they act as FIT agent as that first written communication would allow them to take that day as the starting point for the application (I also included an initial meter reading, but I can't recall for certain if that was a necessity, as it was also eventually on the Application Form too?).

We commissioned on 26-8-10 and then there was a delay with the paper work form the installer and we finally sent off the paper work at the 2nd week of September.

Eon advised the paperwork was wrong and they could only register us from 5 days before they received the application form. we therefore started on 15-09-10 with a reading of 120kWh but tha lady on the phone said we would still get 25 years.

Our Registration form confirms the FIT Start date as 21-9-10 and we sent our first reading in on 21-12-10 - easy to remember the solstace & equinox for readings !!! Our Eligibility Period is 21-09-2010 to 20-09-2035 so still 25 years.

My PV was commissioned on 19/1/2010 and I immediately signed up with E.On's Solarnet export thing.

They wrote to me early March 2010 saying the FIT forms would follow soon.

In the last two weeks of March I was pestering them almost daily as the forms still hadn't arrived - basically they hadn't got them finished.

Finally got the forms first week of April and the FIT agreement was duly completed on the 12th April.

Eligibility is from that date for 25 years according to the paperwork.

I provided the generation meter reading on the 1st April with the paperwork and that's what they used as the initial value so I guess I'll be getting 25 years + 11 days in total  Smiley

Thanks, Ted. I'm pretty sure that the 'eligibility date' is the 16th August. I was thrown by the 'comissioning date' listed by ofgem. I thought this term referred to the date that it became eligible (normally the same as the comissioning date). Not sure why ofgem would really worry about the date it was commissioned.

Greentangerine, My installation was comissioned and registered online with Ofgem in mid-March under their Roofit scheme. Looks like Ofgem didn't start processing the Roofiters' applications straight away. Unless they proceed on the basis of commissioning date?

I'm not on that spreadsheet yet  Sad  I forgot to add my MPAN number to the application.

OfGem emailed me about it late December and I replied on 5/1/11, so at least I know they have processed my application.

I couldn't understand why the sort feature wasn't working until I realised that the sheet was protected so thought I'd add the password if anyone wanted to modify it.
