The Victron inverters throttle back is not the same as others. Instead of just monitoring the draw whilst providing very little it alters the wave for & lowers the voltage (for improved efficiency) so that most small things with modern switch mode transformers still run fine (as do gu10 LED lamps & CFL's) & any bigger thing still has enough power to start up & trigger the full power from the inverter. Very occasionally the fridge will do a double start as the inverter kicks in but not often. Some fridges need power all the time to run the electronics so cant work on a sleeping inverter.
