I'm currently beta testing Ubuntu 11.10 and have been experiencing a huge increase in power demands on my test machines.  The following article, explains the issues and possible fixes.

http://www.fewt.com/2011/09/about-kernel-30-power-regression-myth.html

I have been using Jupiter for a few days now and have noticed a marked improvement.  However, there still seems to be a bug/issue with my audio that is using way more power than previous versions do.  Fingers crossed it will get fixed soon.

Any-ways, has anyone used the Fuduntu distro (http://www.fuduntu.org) and more importantly does it use less power compared to other distro's?
