Can anybody give me some advice on differences btween different manufacturers' heat pumps?

As far as I can see there is a plethora of different ones on the market at vastly differing prices.

My take is that this is a tried and tested ( and relatively simple) technology and that differences may be accounted for by quality of materials ,build quality plus type of controller fitted.

I am looking for a 9kW pump water to water without a desuperheater as I have solar DHW heating.
Anyone any recommendations as to make?
