Well it's a big Victorian place at just over 6,000 sq ft with 3.6m ceilings but I've done pretty much all I can on the insulation front, loads in the loft, Pilkington K secondary glazing, under-floor insulation where possible, low wattage bulbs etc, I also have solar PV and Optimmersion to use excess generation for hot water (which is great by the way). I toned down my post from the space heating requirement quoted on my recent Green Deal assessment of 96,000kWh! My neighbour however, has a new build so I'm sure that's more insulated.
I have to say that as a newbie to biomass, it is a complete minefield for someone like me that doesn't know my Windhager arse from my ETA elbow, I'm really struggling with all the boiler options.
