Just had my install commissioned and it came with a SMA Sunny View

http://www.sma-uk.com/en_UK/products/monitoring-systems/sunny-view.html

This looks to be an Android underneath. Its quite good, connects to the inverter via bluetooth and also to your wireless network and shows various data. You can also connect it to your twitter & Facebook accounts and add 1 RSS feed. However it does not publish to twitter or FB and it does not connect to the Sunny Portal. Its a one way feed in.

As its Android I'm sure it must be possible with the right knowledge to hack this device and allow to send out data, but SMA have chosen to "cripple" the device. If you want to get you inverter data to Sunny Portal that costs you more!
