Well my little 3.36kWp PV system finally clocked up the magic 20,000kWh yesterday, 6years 1month and 5days after installation in 2010.
I am really pleased with the performance of my PV set-up and hope it continues throughout the FIT contract period.
The combination of energy and cost savings from having purchased PV, Solar Thermal, Wooodburner and Electric Car have proved to be best investment this pensioner could have ever made - thanks to this forum for all the helpful constructive advice!

Well here, we passed the 20,000kWh yesterday, that's 6 years and 11 months since installation on 1st September 2010.

That's a lot longer than most, but hey, it's WSW facing and we are at 57N, so  Grin Grin Grin

Welcome to the club! One throughly satisfying & rewarding target achieved it's onwards and upwards to the next. What we need now are some badges (a la kids swimming badges) to mark each stage of the journey.

How about;
20 Mwh+ = Lead
40 Mwh+ = Brass
60 Mwh+ = Bronze
80 Mwh+ = Silver
100 Mwh+ = Gold
120 Mwh+ = Platinum

My 3.96 system in my sig is currently showing 29300kwh so it should have easily passed the 30Mwh milestone before it's 7th anniversary in October.

We are on the top rate tariff, but were on the leading edge price wise. Last time I did the maths the original estimate of around 10 years to 'pay for itself' still seemed like a reasonable estimate. Not complaining. It was "A Good Thing", and remains so.

Sadly, only 7MWh from mine - its only a 7 panel, 1.7kWp install and it suffers from quite bit of winter shading. But i'm still glad I did it. I do use (I reckon) over 75% of the electricity generated. Payback is going to be a bit over 10 years.

Recent article shows the north having more sun than the south during July.

Do generation figures show this up?

Of course it'll work. (It hasn't caught fire yet).
