Yet again I've received a PV generation statement dated 23rd December with zero payment.

SSE ask for readings on or shortly before a set date (22nd December), but don't say how long "shortly" should be, so I send my readings on the latest date.

This time the statement says that if I have provided my readings within the last five working days and are receiving a zero statement, disregard the statement and an amended statement will be sent shortly.

What a waste of paper and postage cost and admin time! They only gave themselves one day, 22nd to 23rd December, to check if I had sent readings and failed to check that I had.

Perhaps they have some ulterior motive for this, like delaying the second statement and therefore delaying payment?

Weird isn't it! I have a note in the diary to call in a reading on the last day before the "shortly before". It will be interesting to see if that beats the zero statement.

Reminds me of the time they sent out a 2 page latter explaining that they were going to be cutting down on FIT paper work, then a couple of days later we got another almost (but not quite) identical 2 page latter explaining the same thing!  facepalm

You get generation statements?? I haven't had any proper paperwork from SSE since sometime in 2013.

I was in the same position, but now I finally seem to be on the "new system", I've had an "electricity bill" style statement that details the meter readings, rate and payment for both TGM & export meters for the quarter.

SSE's second generation statement arrived this morning. 22nd December reading, 23rd December first statement, 11th January second statement, so perhaps SSE are finally getting their act together. I've been paid today into my bank.

Nevertheless, they sent two A4 sheets with the amount shown three times in different ways on three sides. I'm sure they could save on paper by getting it all on one side of one A4 sheet.
