Interested to know a ball park price point for decent quality batteries ?

just been quoted a  grand a pop which seems a tad on the ambitious side !!

I think you need to give a little more detail about capacity, use etc. in order to get some decent replies.

As well as watching Bimble's prices I watch the prices quoted at www.off-grid-europe.com as they have prices up a range of traction battery setups, but if you look at the site you have to remember that the boxes they show are in fact an extra item.

One question regarding your table I have is what C rating are you using for working out the AH capacity? Off-grid seems to use a C5 value for all their headline figures, but also provide C20 values in their spec tables.

I'm afraid I was pretty lazy and just took the first value going. The whole thing was only to give a rough idea.

For instance the lithium you'd need a much smaller battery than for lead but still went for 1000ah capacity.

Maybe I will do it again some time now I have a better understanding and factor in usable Kwh

best price I got in Dec 2015 was from ManBat (in Manchester).  Price for new FLA 1000Ah (C5) 12 Nos 2V cells with interconnects and 2 nos 1mtr take of cables inc VAT and delivery to wales 1650 . Superb service and knowledgeable staff. Pleasure to do business with them.
