At our new place we appear to have good water pressure but lowish flow (haven't yet measured) as the supply pipe is only 1/2" copper and runs for about 100m. We could look at replacing the pipe but it is about 25m across our front garden (including a 10m drop in level) and then about 50m along the road so ai't going to be easy or cheap.

I have been looking at accumulators which appear as though they may be very suitable for this situation (2 showers at the same time without being a dribble for example) but I can't see any information on whether these require regular inspection like main pressure HW tanks? Anyone point me in the right direction?

Accumulators are not what you want the pressure will drop almost immeadiately. You need a 200/400 litre open tank filled by a ballcock and then a simple 3 bar pressure pump. The whole setup can be fixed for about 200 pounds easily and you will have constant high pressure water and no inspections.
