my son sent me a copy of this book without much fanfare. i think he knew once i read the first chapter i would be hooked, and i was.

the book is called "Sapiens" by a Harari and is a brief history of humankind.

it charts the incredible last 150,000 years of the 2 million years humans in one form on another have wandered the planet focusing on the impact of cognitive skills to stimulate development, through communication, agriculture and science.
