Total for Feb was 232kwh, not bad I suppose.

Good Morning All,

Just looking at figures from Fintray, pantsmachine, andrewellis and myself as we're not a million miles apart:-

Fintray - 3.87kW made 210kWh - so 54.3kWh per kW of panel
Courtiestown - 5.77kW made 180.2kWh - so 31.2kW of panel
pantsmachine - 5.12kW made 92.3kWh - so 18kWh per kW of panel
andrewellis - 6.48kW made 293.13kwH - so 45.3kWh per kW of panel

As I joked with Fintray previously I should take all the panels off my roof and stick it on his!

It is interesting that four systems effectively geographically near identical produce such different results.

Hello Richard

I can only assume that it is because of the position of my panels facing due south with virtually no shading throughout the day. My 10.24kW system made 335kWh despite being 2.6 times larger than the one on my garage, mostly due to angle which is about 15 degrees and the fact the panels had snow on them longer than those at 50 degrees.

Ian,

Having them all facing south will obviously be of great benefit. I need to get my tracker fixed as that would boost the output from those panels. I have tried to maximise the location of the ones I have so I can do little more.......

Out of 118 Hours* of Sun & 55mm* of Rain My Kit managed this;

Total generation: 206 kWh! Best Feb ever!

200 kWh Feb  2018,
  97 kWh Feb  2017,                  
176 kWh Feb  2016,
166 kWh Feb  2015,
175 kWh Feb  2014,
144 kWh Feb  2013,
164 kWh Feb  2012,           Avg to Date= 172 kWh

PVGIS (classic)   142  kWh = 145%
PVGIS (cmsaf)    148  kWh = 139%

Daily average:  7.35 kWh

Generation per kWp: 58.8 kWh

Daily average per kWp: 2.1 kWh

Best day:     14.6  kWh – 26th

Worst day:   0.77  kWh – 8th ( Apart from the Zero output Day when covered in snow on the 1/2! )

System: Ground mounted 3.84kWp, slope 40°, 15° east of south,, Lat 50° 40' West Dorset
12 months generation to the end of February 2019 was 3727.9 kWh (970.8 kWh/kWp)

Rather surprised to find that February 2018 generated about 20% more than this year. Rainfall was about the same but this year we had day after day with no sunshine at all.

Generation for February:
2019 _ 236.1 kWh
2018 -  291.9 kWh
2017 – 149.3 kWh
2016 – 221.6 kWh
2015 -  216.7 kWh
2014 – 229.0 kWh
2013 – 180.0 kWh
2012 – 197.7 kWh

Mid-February Shading. Mornings to 09:30. Afternoons from 14:30GMT.

PVGIS: 197 kWh not taking shading into account.
PVGIS: 183 kWh taking shading into account.(7.1 % reduction)

Total generation: 236.1 kWh or 29 % up on PVGIS (shaded) prediction.
Generation per kWp: 61.5 kWh

Daily average
Predicted PVGIS (shaded): 6.5 kWh
Actual: 8.4 kWh
Daily average per kWp: 2.2 kWh

Best Day: 17.4 kWh on 25th & 26th.
Best day per kWp: 4.5 kWh
Worst Day: 0 kWh on  1st (snow on panels)

2.63KWp installed.

46.75KWh to grid
82.77KWh to battery
37.63KWh direct use.

Worst day - 4th 820Wh
Best day - 15th 10.42KWh

The sunny spell in the latter part of the month would have yielded more energy, but someone had placed a chair in front of one of the arrays which affected its output.
