2.4GW wind farm - that's just vast!
I note the NIMBYS are starting to make their voices heard in the area though about the on-shore works...

So that could be 300 x 8MW turbines... hopefully they donít reduce the total power!

Indeed - they said the main reason for a quicker build time is the reduced number of turbines they plan to install due to the increased capacity of the machines.  8MW is the go-to size at the moment, although MHI-Vestas has already launched an up-rated version of their V164 machine running at 9.5MW so you could well imagine by the time they start building this one the turbines could be even bigger?
