Has anyone been through the process of replacing an intermittently faulty pellet boiler with a new one (from a different manufacturer)? Ofgem and MCS cant seem to give me a definitive process of who/how to inform of the replacement or confirm if there is any impact on the customers domestic RHI payments.

I have this from ofgem which is full of contradictions and clear as mud - https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/key-term-explained/replacing-or-repairing-equipment
Apparently I have to complete a 'decommissioning form' which no one can give me and complete a new MCS certificate.

I don't want to start anything until I understand the full impact of what I am doing........

Well my general approach to officialdom is to tell them nothing. I guess that's no help to you but what would happen if you simply changed the boiler and said nothing, who would know or care; and you'd still get your subsidy.

Being off grid without anything but a telephone connection I never ask permission to do owt.  Why ask for trouble?
