It remains to be seen if EE apply any significant restrictions to the mobile data such as blocking streaming services such as Skype, Netflix, Youtube etc. - not had a chance to try them yet.

My experience is that they don't. You'll just use your allowance.

A lot of the 3 sims on offer include GoBinge which gives you Netflix and others that don't come out of your allowance as long as you havent used up your allowance.

Does that include tethering/wifi as well as on a phone/tablet?

I'm just in the process of doing my month end accounts and have just looked at my internet bills in a bit more detail than usual.

I have a wired line and also an old 3g phone up in the loft on a very old fixed pay monthly contract. Looking at the 3g bills I have used 95Gb and 149Gb in the last couple of months. Looking at the router this mostly seems to have been used by the, new last year, Samsung telly.  facepalm

We have Netflix on it that came as a years freebee with something else but I think I'll have to do a bit of monitoring as it still seems to be using a lot even on school days when the kids don't really use it and I don't use it at all.  Huh
