I have received an email today from Virgin Media explaining that there has been a problem with my payment and to give them all my bank details.  I have never had problems with payments so rang them and it is a "scam".  If you are with Virgin Media and receive this email, please ignore it.  Best wishes.

I get these on some of my ntlworld.com addresses sporadically but not on my newer virginmedia.com email address that I now use for business.
I suspect it goes back to the NTL days when the email address database got hacked or in some way liberated from NTL as (in my case) it's only the addresses that existed pre-Virgin takeover that get the scam emails.
