Awesome photo! One of my school mates is now a helicopter pilot flying out of Aberdeen to the rigs. I wonder if in a few years time he'll be flying out to the offshore wind farms instead...

Cracking picture, reminds me of my trip in 'Beady Eyes' (BD119). To the recompression chamber Can't remember if it was a Sea King or Sikorsky, I was full of morphine at the time

How do you recognise the ship from just that photo? I struggled to remember naval vessels when in the navy. They were all grey which didn’t help.

I've now attached a photo to bring the thread marginally within the R.E. topic - a picture of Mr. Trump's favourite wind farm....... (taken while waiting to berth)

Funny enough I got caught up in a Helicopter incident on Sunday just gone. I was participating in my pastime of paragliding when another pilot crashed into the hillside. Helicopter arrived and I had to lend my tow rope in order for several of us to help pull the stretcher up the hillside. Luckily I don't think the pilot was too badly injured.

I flew Hang Gliders and Paragliders for years. Miss thermalling up to cloud base, with just the sound of the wind in the rigging.. Mike Osborne Bay

I work with the opposition Re paragliding I'm sure you've heard the phrase 'If you could see what the air was doing you wouldn't be flying in it'. Hehe. Still good fun though. I hope that other paraglider was ok.
