Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations for sources of perlite in bulk? I bought a pallet from William Sinclair a few years ago but I believe they've since gone out of business.
A friend is looking for some for under a suspended floor.

Thanks,
Fionn.

Perlite is now manufactured by Hoben International https://www.hobeninternational.com/perlite/
Silvapor is the coated variety that is water repellent and used in cavity fill etc.

Not sure who distributes/sells it, but hope that this is a starting point for you.

I used Silvapor 5+ years ago, it was great.  I tried again to get hold of it 6 months ago, and hit an MOQ>30 bags (1 pallet) issue from a distributer (Dupre Minerals).  They were very helpful via email, but I never got the Silvapor - in the end went for EPS beads.
It was for a bit of cavity fill that I found - I tried to avoid EPS due to the issue with PVC wires going brittle, as we have wires in our cavity.  Not the bit of cavity I filled though, so I judged it ok.

angel Thanks for the leads guys.

It was the silvapor coated one that I bought previously all right and the MOQ is not an issue I'm this instance. Would probably use 3 pallets minimum.
