Wrong thread but tomorrows prices are pretty eye watering.
Your right there, its been a shocking few days if your on Agile. But if you have Octopus Agile Outgoing they have paid as much as 150p / kWh exported.

My supplier for the last couple of years, Powershop, ( who I liked) has been taken over by E.ON so I have moved to Octopus. In my newly created account it says it is not too late to use a referral does anyone have one they want to share.
Thanks
Ian

Just about survived the Agile price apocalypse for January. 681kWh at an average of 15.3p/kWh.
13th January was awful, average price for that day was 23p/kWh, but overall I did no worse than on a regular fixed-rate tariff.
I got £3 back for the Christmas Day free pricing period, which was nice.
Here's to sunnier, windier, and warmer months ahead and lower prices from greener generation.

Dan,
Is that 15.3p incl. or excl. of VAT and did it include your standing charge?

That's excluding standing charge (20p/day on Agile) and before VAT at 5%

Hi Dan,
Worked out on that basis, our leccy was 13.3p/kWh for the last month
We are on E7 (plus a cheaper gas rate than Octopus). As my wife would not cut consumption at peak times, most of our summer leccy usage would be at the wrong time for an Agile account, so with the cheaper gas from our supplier, it’s possibly marginally better staying where we are - for the time being.
We are also a much lower energy user than you, so comparisons are not too relevant/straightforward.

An extremely good night for car charging, storage heaters and topping up batteries! Lots of sub gas pricing.

Yep high winds and falling demand as we climb out of the depths of winter... although I noticed nuke is back down to 4.3GW again - so much for reliable base load

My current gas tariff on Octopus is 2.9p/kWh, with a 17.85p daily standing charge, i thought that was pretty low. Certainly it was hard to keep Agile "cheaper" over the winter we've just had, but it definitely comes into its own from spring. It needs a lot of work though to keep on top of it- at least with my hardware and Apps. Hi Dan,

Hi Dan,
2.9p/ kWh for gas is high. My Shell tariff is currently 2.4p/kWh.
That 1/2p makes quite a difference for our bills

Just for comparison, I am Octopus Tracker for gas, Generic price being @ 2.76p Kwh @ 15.09p SC. Wholesale price today is 1.38p kWh.
