 Grin ha! So it might work ok. Good. Well i've still got to decide on buying 2Gb for 3.50 or going for 2x 2Gb for 7 or 8 before i can really start trying the new OS's (4Gb sodimms are 30+ so i can't justify them).

So the plan is more RAM, el capitan, partition hdd, and try mint ( if it's too cumbersome then bunsenlabs but i'd like to stick with beginner-friendly if poss).
