Grills should be disappearing because EVs dont need them.

I don't get why EVs have to look "different", as if all EV buyers are extroverts who want to virtue-signal to the world.

It is "Super Mega Fugly".
The Edsel front end is preferable, and that is saying something.
BMW have got this wrong.

I don't think the grill has anything to do with being an EV, i think it is part of a more general shift in the design direction at BMW, it's a massive mistake (i feel) but i don't think they're pulling an i3/i8 move here at all.

they've made it like that for the people that want an aggressive/sexy looking car

to be fair, I'm happy with whatever they do if it gets more people to buy electric :-)

The internet has already had a field day with BMW and it's grille obsession - this is one of my favourites

What a fuss about a car  wackoold

It's how well they works that matters most and looks are a distant second for us.

Yeah i'm pretty much with you on that, constantly having this 'discussion' with my petrol-head brother-in-law.
Doesn't hurt if they look good (Tesla, etc..), but more interested in the function over the form

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and most of the beholders will be Chinese......who just adore a big grille...
