update folks , fully installed now and has no problem keeping pool at 34c  >..........
Like getting in bath .lol.
Heat exchanger for house heating due any day but so impressed by performance .... when sunny pv runs it alone .....

On post #23 the the circulating pump is shown in a vertical orientation. Most pump manufacturers specifically discourage this. But, it should lie horizontally. 

Just seen the later pics with the new pump fitted correctly.

I like the “dual use” aspect of this project. But I am a bit worried about how you plan to prevent the pipes from freezing in winter.

Phillip- well spotted -pump has been corrected.
To prevent pipes freezing -the house heat exchanger is just inside the wall so both the pool and house circuit are short. As soon as ive fitted the house heat exchanger and checked for leaks i shall drain and refill with a glycol or similar mix.
I intend to lag the pipes also but probably  not the pool pipes as heat loss in summer will be minimal.

Time to update this thread .........
On hols this week , today have installed internal heat exchanger that allows  ashp to heat radiator flow/return circuit...
Ran a cable from the heatpump to the central heating pump  .  The current system has a wbs (small) heating dhw via open vented coil (simples).
When the return temp to wbs  is approx 55c a three way valve operates and pumps around radiators.
A relay connected to ashp and wired in parallel to pump operates the central heating pump when ever the ashp is running .
Pic attached but not proud of plumbing and no not our choice of carpet!!  but know how you lot love pics .......

Really struggling with the manual for this ashp ......... anyone  worked out how to change the heating curve from default A29  to A43  for radiators......
