I'm sure there must be loads of people out there who have drawn up their own plans.

My local authority is happy to accept even hand-drawn, graph-paper based plans but there must be quick-to-learn software that I can use to draft my ideas for the planners and then pass on to a professional for Building Regs purposes (in which case portability into the common professional packages like Autocad would be very much a bonus).

Any recommendations, anyone?
