Opt For Off-Grid Renewable Energy As a Self-Sufficient Alternative

Off-grid photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems can be sized to meet your needs - from a small outbuilding, stable or shed or your whole house or business premises. They are ideal if you want some independence from the national grid and utility companies. Energy self-sufficiency can be a really rewarding feeling, not to mention the reduction in energy bills you also get to enjoy by opting for solar energy.

To get started, in addition to your solar PV panels and roof mounting equipment, cables, battery storage and accessories, you’ll also need battery chargers, controllers, and inverters. Our range includes 10A and 20A battery chargers suitable for 12V batteries and 24V battery banks.

To protect your batteries from overcharging we also have a 60A diversion load controller with an optional LCD display. Once your batteries are fully charged the controller will dissipate the energy coming from your PV panels without disconnecting from them. It cleverly adjusts its consumption rate to exactly offset the excess.

To maximise the energy you can harvest we have 60A and 45A charge controllers that convert the higher voltage DC output from your PV panels to the lower voltage needed by your batteries using maximum power point tracking (MPPT) or pulse width modulation (PWM). For longer battery life and improved system performance in your off-grid PV system we also have 30A and 15A solar charge controllers to regulate voltage and current.

If you need to power appliances, you’ll need an inverter to convert the direct current (DC) power from your PV panels and batteries to alternating current (AC). We have a range of cost-effective modified sine wave inverters from 300W to 2000W to suit your needs.
